MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Oh wait...we're a little confused because there is a FOOT OF SNOW OUTSIDE!!! We almost stayed inside all day, but luckily the roads are clear so we could still come email and do our P-day activities :)

Oh man, Sis. Barrett is a HOOT. Everything that comes out of her mouth is the funniest thing I've ever heard. And she usually says something right as I'm taking a drink of water. I'm gonna have rock hard abs after this transfer because we all laugh so much.

We had an amazing lesson with a woman this week, and Pres. and Sis. Collins came with us!! We met with her for the first time a couple weeks ago, and as soon as we walked out both Sis. O'Brien and I thought, "We need Pres. and Sis. Collins." We studied for this woman every single day to figure out what her needs were, and it was amazing to see how all that time studying brought it all down to faith in Jesus Christ, and reading the Book of Mormon. But it was necessary for us to study as much as we did to figure that out. We roleplayed a few things before the lesson, and we used exactly what we practiced in the lesson. The spirit was so strong. It was amazing to see how our preparation tied in so well with the lesson, and the topic of faith really did meet her deepest needs! She recognizes things she needs to change within herself, and she wants to follow God's will, but sometimes she makes decisions based off of what she wants (just like we all do). We really think the spirit touched her heart, and Pres. Collins was very bold in his claims and his invitation for her to read the Book of Mormon and recognize all the implications that come from it being true. She agreed to do that, and she is very excited to meet with us again. Hopefully we can meet her needs and continue to help her progress and overcome the barriers that are keeping her from accepting the full gospel.

We have been kept very busy, which is so great especially since things were so slow at the beginning! We are teaching more people and and finding a lot of potential. The members have been so helpful especially as we have been sharing a car with the other sisters, and they are providing their homes for us to teach people in. That helps a lot. Sometimes members have both us and the elders at their home for dinner, and at first we were worried that might be a little overwhelming, but we've been doing a little testimony meeting with the families and the spirit is so strong. The members love having 5 missionaries in their home :) And we sure love the delicious food. Really, I don't know what we would do without the support of these members. They are amazing. At one home, we all spent 30 minutes teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and each of us took a topic. The lesson was powerful, even with 5 missionaries teaching. There is power in numbers sometimes.

Well the work is moving forward. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. Love you all. Keep the faith.

Love, Sister Allen
