Dear family and friends,
Sorry we couldn't email yesterday, the library was closed because of Memorial Day!
I can't believe it's the last week of the transfer. This time has gone way too fast, and we have no idea what will happen next week...but we are trying to stay busy to keep our minds occupied this week! Sis. McQuivey has been trying to not think too much about Brazil, and she does great work here. We have found a few people to help her practice Portuguese. She is a diligent missionary, and always willing to work and learn.
Sometimes I wish I could just be the perfect missionary and see our numbers improve every week...but then I look back and see how much progress we have made and how much good we are doing, even though sometimes people's agency gets in the way. I was recently talking with a sister who's serving in Zionsville where I served for my first 6 months. They are seeing success with people we tried to get to church for months! So our efforts were not wasted! It's good to hear about those things.
I'm grateful and humbled to be a missionary. Every day I'm just amazed. The time goes way too fast. I love the Lord, I love my companions, and I love learning exactly what I need to learn. I understand the gospel so much more than I ever did before my mission, and I am eternally grateful for it.
Love you all,
Sister Allen
